About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. This role is part of the Geri Psych - Seton 7 West department and is a Part Time position with 32 hours per week, covering Days/Evenings at BMC South.

Requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.
Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.
Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."
BLS from American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred
Computer experience is preferred.
