About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide hands-on nursing care focused on daily care needs and personal hygiene. You will advocate for patients and provide quality-of-life-enhancing services to those served. The position is part-time, second shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with some weekends required. An active, unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a CNA certification program.
Current CNA certification issued by the state relevant to the position.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and First Aid certifications.
Active, unrestricted driver’s license with no restrictions.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families.
Reliable and responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
Commitment to quality.

Nice To Haves

One year of CNA experience is preferred, ideally with medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

Monitor the health conditions of individuals served and ensure quality services are provided.
Assist or supervise individuals with daily living, personal care, and community and social integration.
Help maintain safe, quality supports for individuals served.
Initiate emergency procedures as needed.
Use equipment correctly and safely.
Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, accidents, or incidents to a supervisor.
Maintain current progress notes and other appropriate documentation.
Assist with resident activity programs, including off-site outings and appointments.
Assist with household activities and help keep the residence tidy and clean.
Assist with meal preparation and mealtimes.
Prepare rooms for new resident admissions, obtaining equipment and supplies as needed.
Prepare residents for discharge.
Attend and participate actively in team meetings and required training.
Maintain confidentiality and treat others with dignity and respect.
