About The Position

Garden City Healthcare Center is seeking motivated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join their Full-Time AM Shift team. New graduates are welcome. The primary purpose of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with each resident’s assessment, care plan, and facility policies, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication and observation skills

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Report all changes in residents’ conditions to the Charge Nurse or Nurse Supervisor promptly
• Accurately document care provided in flow sheets, charts, and notes
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs (TPRs) and weights as instructed
• Monitor residents routinely to ensure comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met
• Record food and fluid intake and report changes in appetite
• Participate in shift reports and communication hand-offs
• Assist with restorative and rehabilitative care as directed
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and resident-centered environment
• Cooperate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure quality care
• Perform additional duties as assigned
