The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will assist the Registered Nurse (RN) with the daily care of patients on the Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit. This role involves direct patient care, accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), performing purposeful rounding, and participating in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes. The CNA will also be responsible for collecting specimens, maintaining stock, performing patient positioning and transport, and ensuring skin integrity. Additionally, the role requires adherence to infection prevention policies and demonstrating age-specific care knowledge.
