About The Position

Lexington Country Place is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing home team. The CNA is responsible for providing direct resident care and assisting residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence. The ideal candidate is resident-focused, attentive to residents' needs, and committed to delivering exceptional long-term care. This role includes providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support while maintaining a safe, comfortable home-like environment.

Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist residents according to facility guidelines.
  • Compassionate, reliable, and resident-centered approach to care.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care center, or assisted living community.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience caring for elderly residents, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning using proper safety techniques.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, weights, food intake, output, and other resident information as directed.
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and report concerns to licensed nursing staff.
  • Assist residents with meals and hydration, including feeding assistance when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident requests with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to residents and their families.
  • Follow infection control, safety, HIPAA, and facility policies and procedures.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
