About The Position
MaineGeneral Health is a comprehensive non-profit system with the mission of enhancing, every day, the health of our patients, our families and our communities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic CNA to join our team of highly skilled professionals at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This is a 36-hour per week day shift position. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week.
Requirements
- A valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
- Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical and spiritual needs
- Greets patients and visitors.
- Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
- Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff
- Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly
