Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant | CNA (Skilled Nursing Center)
About The Position
Westminster Communities of Bradenton is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to work in its Health Center. The CNA provides assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and supervisor direction. The role preserves residents’ dignity and rights, provides good customer service, communicates appropriately, and follows federal and state compliance regulations. This is a full-time position scheduled for 37.5 hours per week. Openings are available on the 1st shift (7 a.m.–3 p.m.), 2nd shift (3 p.m.–11 p.m.), and 3rd shift (11 p.m.–7 a.m.).
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant credential in accordance with Florida law.
- CPR certification.
- One year of long-term care experience or experience working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, and toileting.
- Make beds, remove trash, and maintain a high level of hygiene in residents’ rooms.
- Ensure meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding as needed.
- Take vital signs and report observations and changes in residents’ conditions to the nurse.
- Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
- Document promptly, accurately, and thoroughly in the CNA ECS flow-sheet.
- Make routine and frequent rounds to ensure safety precautions and equipment are in place and working properly.
- Help prevent skin problems and skin breakdown by providing timely incontinence care and frequently repositioning residents who need assistance.
- Preserve residents’ dignity and rights, provide good customer service, communicate appropriately, and adhere to compliance regulations.
