About The Position

Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Nursing Home team. This role involves providing hands-on resident care within our Nursing Home, with potential for cross-training and occasional floating to the Hospital and Commons Assisted Living Facility based on resident care needs and staffing requirements. Hopedale Medical Complex is an independent, nonprofit Critical Access Hospital with a long history of providing patient-centered healthcare in a community setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
Current CPR certification required.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to cross-train and float to other Hopedale Medical Complex departments as needed.
Federal and State criminal background checks.
Drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed nursing staff in providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.
Provide direct care under the supervision of an RN or LPN while maintaining resident comfort, dignity, and safety.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals.
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to licensed nursing staff.
Follow individualized care plans and nursing instructions.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while following infection prevention and safety protocols.
Protect resident privacy by maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Participate in required training, continuing education, and competency development.
