Certified Nursing Assistant- Surgical Services/ Peri Anesthesia
About The Position
Central Maine Medical Center is hiring a full-time, day-shift Certified Nursing Assistant for Surgical Services/Peri Anesthesia. The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Central Maine Healthcare serves approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. Its system includes Central Maine Medical Center, Bridgton Hospital, Rumford Hospital, and the Maine College of Health Professions. The estimated pay range for this role is $22.00 to $25.75. The starting compensation is determined during hiring based on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Requirements
- State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
- Current EKG certification upon hire.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
