About The Position

Primrose Retirement Communities is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic care and assistance with daily living activities for residents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent people skills, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others. This role involves a variety of duties including personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, and meal services. The CNA will also collaborate with the nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, consultants, residents, and families to ensure residents achieve and maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

Requirements

• Possess excellent people skills
• Ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant dependent upon state regulations
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents
• Assist residents in daily living activities
• Provide care to residents which may include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, meal services and other duties and services as assigned within the community
• Collaborate and assist in supporting the entire nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, consultants, residents and families in an efficient and economic manner to enable each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being
