About The Position

Bryn Mawr Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF), on the North Side of Chicago, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to join our team. This is a Full-Time, 3rd Shift position, Every Other Weekend, both days Required. Hours are: 12 Midnight to 8:00 a.m. The CNA will work in conjunction with an interdisciplinary team, offering recovery and rehabilitation support and services to those who live in the facility. Bryn Mawr Care is a 24/7 crisis intervention, assessment and admission service, providing specialized individual residential care for adults with psychiatric disorders. Located in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood, we are within walking distance of beautiful Lake Michigan, parks and lakefront trails. Nearby Red Line stop.

Requirements

MUST BE A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
21 years of age or older
Must be certified or eligible to work in healthcare in the State of Illinois with no waivers
High School diploma or GED
Basic Computer Skills
Service mindset with compassion, tolerance, and understanding of adults with psychiatric disorders
Ability to redirect and de-escalate behaviors

Responsibilities

Collaborate with consumer and treatment team in facilitating therapeutic treatment plans
Implement therapeutic care plans and activities in a compassionate and caring manner
Recognize, note, and inform treatment team when a consumer is not at their baseline of symptoms and behaviors
Assist medical treatment team as assigned
Help check in all newly admitted consumers and readmissions, as well as assist in the transfer of consumers to different rooms
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
Other related duties as assigned
