Certified Nursing Assistant - Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Day Surgery- PRN/As Needed
About The Position
The Day Surgery Unit is a 24 bed Outpatient/Ambulatory Surgery unit. The staff provide pre and post-operative/procedural care to Surgery, Interventional Radiology and select populations of Radiology patients receiving anesthesia services. An average of 30 patients per day begin in day surgery with the majority of patients being discharged the day of their procedure and some admitted to critical or inpatient units. We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide support to the staff and patients on the unit. Qualified candidates will work independently providing resource information and general nursing care to patients. Completes clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - active or expired on registry
- Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interest in customer service
- Able to multi-task
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the staff and patients on the unit.
- Work independently providing resource information and general nursing care to patients.
- Complete clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.
- Cross train to other perioperative departments as needed.
