About The Position

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role will provide basic patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, intake/output, blood glucose testing, and assistance with daily living activities. This role involves observing and reporting changes in patient condition, providing comfort and emotional support, and assisting with newborn care, hearing screenings, metabolic screenings, weights, measurements, and family-centered care practices. The CNA will also maintain newborn testing equipment and supplies, promote a compassionate and respectful environment, encourage family involvement, and communicate effectively to support a positive patient experience. Additionally, the role includes responding to patient and visitor needs while protecting privacy and confidentiality, supporting newborn security and unit safety policies, monitoring visitor access and compliance with security procedures, reporting safety or security concerns promptly, and participating in infant security drills and collaborating with the healthcare team to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Oregon CNA License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
