About The Position
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role focuses on maintaining patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being in a clinical setting.
Requirements
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Completion of an approved CNA program (Required)
- Active New Jersey CNA License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, and bed making
- Assist with patient comfort and daily living activities
- Measure and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the RN
- Perform glucose finger sticks and collect specimens (urine, stool, sputum)
- Monitor and record patient intake/output and daily weights
- Maintain a safe patient environment by responding promptly to call lights
- Observe patient conditions and immediately report changes to the RN
- Act as a patient sitter when required
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and nursing units
- Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs (age, culture, physical limitations, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
