About The Position

Care for our community, and your career. This position assists with tasks to care for our residents, maintains a resident’s room with bed making, tidying up, and emptying linen bags. Responsibilities include washing residents' hands and faces, assisting with nail and hair care, passing trays and fluids, entering consumption records, assisting with activities, and assisting ambulatory residents who need queuing. The role requires the ability to document basic resident observations, write legibly, and accurately document the type of care given. Familiarity with equipment used to move residents, take vital signs, and document is necessary. The ability to understand printed health-related material is also required.

Requirements

• One year or more experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferable.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy.
• Ability to work under stress and complete duties sometimes with numerous interruptions.
• Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers.
• Ability to understand printed health related material.
• Graduated from Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
• NYS Certified.

Nice To Haves

• One year or more experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferable.
• Computer experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
