About The Position

Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, providing care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care. The facility is expanding its nursing team and offers a supportive environment for CNAs to work with residents and grow in the role.

This is a full-time night-shift position, scheduled from 6 PM to 6 AM, three days per week. On-the-job training is provided to all CNAs, with the training period tailored to each individual based on comfort level and experience.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification.
• Effective communication with coworkers and residents.
• Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents’ call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support to help residents perform daily living activities, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Develop relationships with residents to help ensure their stay is comfortable.
