The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works with nurses to assist in the provision of delegated aspects of nursing care for individual patients. This practitioner organizes their time within the specified work period to maximize the delivery of nursing care. Within the role of clerk functions, this practitioner is responsible for performing admission, discharge, pre-procedure, post-procedure, and transfer tasks. The CNA is also responsible for unit phone, call-light, visual monitor, and telemetry management. Other duties may be assigned.
