About The Position
Belle Plaine Specialty Care is a 46-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Belle Plaine, Iowa, and is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for overnight shifts. The role supports residents with daily living activities and health monitoring while helping provide a safe, compassionate, and engaging care environment. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and shift differential. Care Initiatives operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa and emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and inclusive, equitable, and welcoming working and learning environments.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship and foster a positive, engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents' health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents' health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
