About The Position

Lake Prince Woods, a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their Healthcare Team on a 40-bed Skilled Nursing Unit. The CNA provides direct resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting residents in maintaining their highest possible level of physical, emotional, and social well-being while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. Care is provided in accordance with physician orders, state and federal regulations, and Lake Prince Woods standards of excellence.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
Current CNA certification in good standing.
Completion of all required in-service training.
Must be at least 16 years of age in accordance with Department of Labor regulations.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of three (3) months of experience performing basic nursing assistant duties preferred.
New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
Support residents in maintaining independence and achieving their highest level of functioning.
Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
Promote a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for residents.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans.
Adhere to all company policies, regulatory requirements, and infection control standards.
