Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides a safe environment, emotional and social support, and assistance with residents’ physical needs and comfort in a skilled nursing facility. The role performs direct care in accordance with each resident’s care plan and supervisor direction, follows health, sanitation, and infection-control policies, and maintains standards established by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. Other duties may be assigned by community representatives. The position is at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, 157 Ross Carter Blvd, Duffield, VA 24244. Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities are available, with varying shifts. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour for the New Grads program. Requirements
- Hold a current nursing assistant certification registry in good standing under applicable state law, or otherwise meet the state’s requirements to work as a nursing assistant.
- Have a high school diploma or GED, or be actively enrolled in a high school program.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe environment for residents.
- Provide residents with emotional and social support.
- Attend to residents’ physical needs and comfort.
- Perform direct care as assigned, following residents’ care plans and supervisor direction.
- Follow health, sanitary, and infection-control policies.
- Maintain standards of practice established by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other duties as directed by community representatives.
