About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides delegated, age-appropriate care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, using culturally and ethnically sensitive practices. The CNA assists patients with tasks covered by their clinical competency assessment, including basic nursing skills, personal care, and basic restorative services. The CNA performs duties taught during CNA training and certification or learned in basic nursing courses at an accredited professional nursing school. The role may include continuous safety observation and other duties as assigned. The position is based at Froedtert West Bend Hospital in West Bend, Wisconsin, and is performed onsite.

Requirements

Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification; alternatively, current enrollment in a nursing program with documentation from an accredited professional nursing school confirming successful completion of the required basic nursing course and at least one acute-care medical/surgical clinical rotation.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities
