About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills, located in Rapid City, South Dakota. This hospital is a new cornerstone of specialized care in the region, equipped with 36 inpatient medical rehabilitation beds and 18 long-term acute care beds. Our integrated approach offers comprehensive care solutions for patients who have suffered debilitating injuries, illnesses, surgeries, and chronic medical conditions, helping them recover and regain independence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Aide or other relevant experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant as applicable in the state of employment required.
• BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor is required within six months of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming, and providing a clean, healthy and safe environment.
• Utilizes basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition and fluid intake skills.
• Recognizes emergency situations and responds.
