About The Position

We are seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry CNA, also referred to as a Med-Surg Tele CNA. The Med-Surg/Tele CNA assist nurses by providing basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role in observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment to promote recovery. Under RN supervision, you will assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate, required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.
• Help patients with mobility, including getting in and out of bed and walking.
• Ensure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning, and alert registered nurses to alarms.
• Monitor patients for any physical changes and notify nursing staff promptly.
