About The Position
This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant in a nursing facility. The role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting actions. The schedule is three days per week from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure
- BLS Certification
Responsibilities
- Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Assists nursing staff to identify physical, psychosocial, age-specific, and cultural considerations of each patient.
- Works with the nursing staff to provide personal care according to organizational standards and policies.
- Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information.
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
