This full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is located in the Day Surgery Center at Aurora West Allis Medical Center. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and assisting with mobility. The CNA will also be responsible for measuring and documenting vital signs and patient data, performing purposeful rounding, and participating in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Additional duties include specimen collection, specimen testing, running errands, maintaining supplies, cleaning equipment, and assisting with patient positioning and nutritional needs. The role also involves tasks related to maintaining skin integrity and may include removing IVs, providing post-mortem care, and performing bladder scans under RN direction. Adherence to infection prevention policies, including hand hygiene and aseptic procedures, is crucial. The CNA must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, understanding growth and development principles.
