About The Position

This position is for the Cardiac and Stroke Unit at Bellevue Medical Center, a 36-bed unit providing specialty care for cardiac and stroke patients. Staff at this certified chest pain and stroke center care for patients on cardiac drips and heart failure patients and provides post-stroke care and telemetry. The role utilizes a Care Pair Model, pairing a nurse with a CNA to collaborate in caring for 5-6 patients as a team. This model aims to improve staff and patient satisfaction, enhance quality data (e.g., CHG bathing), and decrease call light activations. The lower patient ratios for CNAs allow more time for activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, ambulation), leading to a more coordinated and less stressful workday.
