About The Position

Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff in the Medical Surgical department at Cox Barton County Hospital. Duties include taking vital signs, bathing and dressing patients, moving patients, changing linens, and completing other assigned tasks. Obtain information about patients’ conditions as requested by nursing staff and report any changes in condition. The position is scheduled for 36 hours per week, from 6:40 AM to 7:10 PM on the day shift. Certified Nurse Assistants and Nurse Assistants are eligible to apply.

Requirements

Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required: Within the past three years, at least one of the following: three months of experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, as an EMT, or as a surgical technologist; completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program; completion of a fundamentals of nursing course with clinical experience in an accredited nursing or practical nursing education program; or a Missouri CNA license.
If applying with a Missouri CNA Appendix, the Missouri CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire.

Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities
