Assists in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients in a home health and hospice setting. This role is a PRN position, meaning it is scheduled on an as-needed basis. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will receive patient care assignments from the registered nurse (RN) in charge and initiate delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence. The role involves collecting and documenting patient data, contributing to safety and quality care by relaying information, and informing licensed nurses of any changes in patient condition or needs. Responsibilities include assisting with patient hygiene, mobility, feeding, and performing procedures such as dressing changes, ostomy care, and specimen collection. The CNA will also prepare patients for discharge, manage supplies, and assist with clerical duties. A commitment to working in a constant state of alertness and safe manner is required.
