About The Position

Family Life Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide professional care to patients in their homes. Assignments may include long-term care or support during recovery from an injury or illness. Family Life Care works with employees to build schedules around their needs and serves clients of all ages, including veterans.

The role involves assisting clients with activities of daily living, preparing meals, observing and reporting changes in health, providing companionship, maintaining a clean living environment, and supporting clients with cognitive impairments.

Requirements

• Hold a current Florida CNA license or a 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate from a school approved through the State of Florida.
• Have current CPR certification.
• Have a driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Have a current TB test with negative results.
• Be able to pass a Level II background check.
• Have strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
• Be able to perform meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning duties.
• Have a compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and families.
• Be reliable and punctual, and able to work independently while following care plans.
• Have a working smartphone.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and ensure clients receive nutritious food tailored to their dietary needs.
• Observe patients for changes in health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain clients’ living environments.
• Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, maintaining safety and promoting cognitive engagement.
