About The Position

With direction of a Registered Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) provide direct patient care and assist team members with delegated tasks/procedures that are within their scope of practice. CNAs possess thorough understanding of the position’s roles/responsibilities and seek clarification when appropriate. They have the ability, with minimal oversight, to produce accurate and timely computer documentation. This position requires knowledge of printer and fax functions. This position requires demonstrated ability to multi-task and are highly motivated to perform in alignment with SPH’s values. See Orientation Competency Inventory (OCI) for range of tasks and responsibilities. APTITUDES: Demonstrated ability to exhibit judgment in organizing time and performing repetitive tasks. Demonstrated ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers, within job duties. Demonstrated ability for interpersonal communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental and empathetic patient care and customer relations. Demonstrated ability to receive feedback and ability to adapt to a changing environment, requiring flexibility in scheduling and department assignments. Demonstrated ability to take ownership for work completed. Demonstrated ability to communicate in an effective, respectful and appropriate manner, contributing to the team environment. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the patient care team.

Requirements
