About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their Medical team at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. CNAs will work under the direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. This role involves assisting patients with personal hygiene, daily living needs, and vital sign monitoring.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
- CNA licensure in Maryland required.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Training, experience or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred.
- One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under the direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff.
- Assist patients by supporting personal hygiene.
- Assist patients with daily living needs.
- Monitor patient vital signs.
