Under the direction/supervision of an RN, this position provides basic and intermediate nursing care for an assigned group of patients based on competence. The role involves caring for patients across various units including General Nursing Units (age 15 years to maturity), Special Care Areas (15 years through adult with high-risk conditions), Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery for pregnancy-related conditions, Nursery for newborns until discharge), Pediatric (neonate through age eighteen), GI Lab Unit (toddlers beginning age 24 months through adult), Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit (adult patients and family with a holistic approach to emotional problems), Emergency Unit (patients of all ages), and Surgical Services (neonate to geriatric). The Certified Nursing Assistant is expected to complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned. This vital patient care support role focuses on providing essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey.
