This position supports patients/residents with activities of daily living, assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to specific procedures. The CNA maintains patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition, observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions, and orients patients/families to the unit and instructs them on safety measures. This role also assists with clerical work, including answering phones, entering data, and maintaining medical records, as well as maintaining stock supply items in inventory management. The CNA performs duties outlined in the scope of Nurse Aide I or Nurse Aide II tasks and may perform technical tasks with appropriate training, such as administering a 12-Lead Electrocardiogram test and routine venipuncture.
