About The Position

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Pahrump, NV, to provide in-home care to individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing emotional support in a one-on-one setting within the patient's residence. This is a 1099 contract opportunity with flexible scheduling, primarily Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm, with potential for adjustments based on patient and case manager needs. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Current First Aid certification
• TB test & physical examination
• Ability to monitor vital signs.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Caring and compassionate personality
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
• Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting.
• Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care.
• Provide companionship care and basic emotional or psychological support.
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Adhere to the patient’s established plan of care.
• Execute the physician prescribed plan of care and maintain compliant documentation of care provided in the system of record.
• Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care.
• Remind patient of and administer medication as prescribed.
• Maintain records and documentation of daily services.
• Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient.
