The primary purpose of this Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with their assessment and care plan, and as directed by supervisors. The role involves administrative, admission/transfer/discharge, personnel, personal nursing care, special nursing care, food service, staff development, safety and sanitation, equipment and supply management, care plan adherence, budget awareness, and resident rights functions. The position operates within the nursing service area and requires the ability to handle frequent interruptions, communicate effectively, and work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. The role may also involve being on-call during emergencies and requires the ability to cope with mental and emotional stress, as well as potential exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous chemicals.
