About The Position

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Under the direction/supervision of RN, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence. The care provided varies by unit, including General Nursing Units (patients age 15 years to maturity), Special Care Areas (patients 15 years through adult with high-risk conditions), Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery, Nursery), Pediatric (neonate through age 18), GI Lab Unit (toddlers, beginning age 24 months, through adult), Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit (adult patients and family), and Emergency Unit (patients of all ages). Surgical Services provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant or intermediate or higher level Emergency Medical Technician program.
2 years of clinical experience (Inpatient, Emergency Department, or Skilled Nursing Unit).
Current Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, EKG Tech certification required.
BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position.

Nice To Haves

Satisfactory completed a nurse aide course, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assisting.
