About The Position

Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation Mathews is seeking a PRN-A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their care team in Mathews, Virginia. This position requires working at least 4 shifts per 4-week schedule, with a minimum of 2 weekend shifts. The role offers flexibility and a starting pay rate of $22.00 per hour. The Certified Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of a Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, or LPN, and is ultimately responsible to the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing. The CNA performs tasks essential to the direct care of residents, adhering to facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

Less than 1 year Nurse Aide Work Experience (6months or Greater) in Long Term Care or Assisted Living Facility
Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days
First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days

Nice To Haves

1 year Certified Nursing Assistant Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity
Assists with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents are met
Provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability
Documents accurately in EMR resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors
Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities
