About The Position

Horizons Residential Care Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This is a full-time position on the second shift (2:45 PM – 11:15 PM) with a shift differential available. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring their condition, supporting mobility, and maintaining accurate documentation in electronic records, all while providing compassionate, person-centered care.

Requirements

• Active CNA certification (North Carolina)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care, ICF, or developmental disabilities
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience with electronic documentation systems

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals)
• Monitor and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Support mobility and safe transfers
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic records
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care
• Follow all safety, infection control, and care protocols
