Full-Time Hospice Continuous Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Dependable Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Hospice Continuous Care team serving patients throughout Northwest Tucson and the greater Tucson area. This rewarding role provides extended bedside support for hospice patients requiring continuous care and symptom management. You’ll deliver compassionate, hands-on assistance that brings comfort, dignity, and peace to patients and families during life’s most important moments. As a valued member of our hospice team, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive individualized, respectful care in the comfort of their home.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Current Arizona CNA license in good standing
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Current CPR certification
- TB clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass background screening
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Nice To Haves
- Hospice, home health, caregiving, or long-term care experience preferred
- Bilingual or conversational Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care and bedside support that enhances comfort, preserves dignity, and improves quality of life for hospice patients requiring extended care.
- Work closely with nurses, therapists, and family members to ensure coordinated, compassionate patient care.
- Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting.
- Support safe mobility, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition changes.
- Prepare and assist with meals and hydration.
- Assist with medication reminders and self-administration support.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Provide emotional support, reassurance, and companionship to patients and families.
- Report changes in patient status promptly to the hospice nursing team.
