About The Position

Visiting Angels of Naperville is hiring a Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA to provide in-home care for senior adults throughout the local area, including Aurora, Lombard, Wheaton, Lisle, Downers Grove, Carol Stream, Warrenville, Winfield, and many others. This role offers flexibility, opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of clients. As a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA, you will assist clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while recovering or living at home. The role involves a variety of tasks tailored to each client's needs, requiring a compassionate and competent individual.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Manage light housekeeping duties.
Encourage clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take their prescription medications at the correct times.
Assist clients with shopping and putting away groceries, or perform shopping on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including getting around the house, visiting the doctor, and taking walks.
Act quickly in case of medical emergencies.
Report any health changes or unusual circumstances.
