About The Position

Methodist Specialty Care Center (MSCC) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional care and build meaningful relationships with residents. MSCC is recognized as a Best Nursing Home for Long-Term Care. As a member of the team, you will care for residents with complex medical conditions such as spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, neurological disorders, and respiratory failure. Your expertise and compassion will be integral to each resident's daily life, fostering relationships with residents and their families while collaborating with a supportive interdisciplinary team dedicated to person-centered care.

Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Mississippi without restrictions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, direct care to residents in a long-term care setting.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to meet each resident's individualized care needs.
  • Support residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being through compassionate, resident-centered care.
  • Safely assist with resident transfers and mobility using ceiling lifts and other patient-handling equipment.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and their families.
