The primary responsibility as a Certified Nursing Assistant is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan. This role involves checking residents routinely to ensure their personal care needs are met, reviewing and updating care plans with the nurse supervisor, and assisting residents with daily needs, including preparation for activities and appointments. The CNA is expected to create a warm and cheerful environment, ensure resident rooms are ready, and participate in facility surveys. Effective communication with charge nurses, the director of nursing, and administrators is essential.
