Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Weekend Availability (Full-Time & Part-Time)
About The Position
Assured Quality Homecare (ASQ) is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide weekend home care to older adults. The role involves personalized, one-on-one personal care and daily living support in clients’ homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent. Weekend schedules include Saturdays and Sundays, with flexible day, evening, and overnight shift options. Full-time, part-time, and per-diem schedules are available. Care professionals follow each client’s individualized care plan, communicate changes to the care coordination team, and document visits electronically. ASQ describes its approach as supporting care professionals through training, clear communication, leadership, and clinical field support. The position serves clients in Rhode Island and Connecticut; Rhode Island CNA licensing is required before working independently with clients. Connecticut CNA training pathways are available through Empower Training Academy.
Requirements
- Active Rhode Island Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing, required before working independently with clients.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic smartphone proficiency to access client schedules and record shift documentation.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to work independently in home environments.
- Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality.
- Ability to pass required background and health screenings.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene while respecting dignity, privacy, and personal preferences.
- Support safe walking, positioning, transfers, and prescribed physical exercises.
- Prepare nutritious meals and encourage proper hydration.
- Provide medication reminders, light housekeeping, and laundry support.
- Engage clients in conversation, light activities, and hobbies for companionship and social well-being.
- Follow each client’s individualized care plan during every visit.
- Identify and promptly report cognitive, physical, or environmental changes to the ASQ care coordination team.
- Complete clear, accurate, timely electronic shift notes after each visit.
