About The Position
Comfort Keepers is seeking a compassionate, dependable Male Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide dedicated, one-on-one care for a male senior in the Tulsa area who is living with dementia and depression. For this client, the right CNA can make a meaningful difference—not only by providing personal care, but by becoming a consistent, familiar, and reassuring presence in his daily life. Requirements
- Male CNA required for this specific client assignment
- Active Oklahoma CNA certification required
- Minimum 6 months of professional senior care experience
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass required background screening
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable phone and email access
- Consistent and dependable attendance
Nice To Haves
- Dementia care experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and personal care
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance as needed
- Prepare meals and assist with daily routines
- Provide companionship, conversation and meaningful engagement
- Use patience, reassurance and redirection when navigating dementia-related behaviors
- Help maintain familiar routines and a calm environment
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Observe and report changes in mood, behavior or condition
- Maintain accurate care documentation
- Communicate with the family and Comfort Keepers office team
- Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality
- Follow the client's individualized plan of care
