The role emphasizes providing excellent patient care with empathy, compassion, communication, and teamwork, respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of each individual. This position involves assisting patients with personal hygiene, bowel and bladder functions, recording intake and output, collecting specimens, managing linens, maintaining a clean patient environment, and assisting with patient activity and repositioning. The CNA is responsible for communicating pertinent patient information to the nurse and setting priorities for the care of multiple patients.
