About The Position

Friends Homes is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care to residents in a household setting, addressing their medical, physical, and emotional needs. The role involves advocating for residents to ensure their quality of life, promoting psychosocial well-being through relationship building, assisting with social activities, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This is a full-time position requiring every other weekend availability, with options for 8 or 12-hour shifts on both day and night.

Requirements

• North Carolina CNA Certification
• Desire to serve older adults and make a positive impact
• Positive outlook with the ability to provide compassionate care
• Ability to take initiative and be detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Flexibility and ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to effectively communicate and complete required tasks, including training and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the residents in the household to help meet their daily needs, including medical, physical, and emotional support
• Advocate for residents, ensuring they have the best possible experience and quality of life
• Promote residents' psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building
• Help plan and facilitate social activities
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and care for residents' personal laundry
