About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Las Vegas, NV to provide in-home care to individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. This 1099 contract opportunity involves providing assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes according to a physician-established care plan. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing individuals to pick up extra hours or build a schedule around other engagements. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements
- Current CPR certification
- Current First Aid certification
- TB test & physical examination
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Good interpersonal skills
- Caring and compassionate personality
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
- Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of experience working in a clinical or home health setting.
- 1+ years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a clinical or home health setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 1+year of caregiving experience
Responsibilities
- Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting
- Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care
- Provide companionship care and basic emotional or psychological support
- Adhere to the patient’s established plan of care
- Execute the physician prescribed plan of care and maintain compliant documentation of care provided in the system of record
- Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care
- Remind patient to take medications as prescribed
- Maintain records and documentation of daily services
- Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient
