About The Position

As a vital member of our collaborative healthcare team, you will provide exceptional direct care to our residents, helping them with daily activities and supporting their physical and emotional well-being.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate.
  • Graduate of a state-approved CNA program.
  • A genuine passion for working with the elderly and a commitment to long-term care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong sense of empathy, patience, and personal integrity.
  • Ability to handle the physical and emotional demands of the position, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working with individuals who may be ill, disabled, or emotionally upset.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and nail care, while promoting their independence and comfort.
  • Support Daily Living: Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation, utilizing appropriate assistive devices. Assist during mealtimes by serving meals, setting up trays, and monitoring nutritional intake.
  • Monitor Resident Health: Accurately take and record vital signs, weights, and other key measurements as directed. Observe residents closely and promptly report any changes in their physical, mental, or emotional condition to the licensed nurse.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure resident rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized. Answer call lights immediately, adhere to all infection control protocols, and follow facility safety procedures.
  • Foster a Positive Community: Build trusting relationships with residents and their families. Encourage residents to participate in activities and rehabilitation programs, assisting with transportation and therapeutic exercises as outlined in their care plans.
  • Collaborate as a Team: Communicate effectively with nurses, fellow CNAs, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless and comprehensive resident care. Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' rights at all times.
