Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - PRN
About The Position
Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their Wildflower Court team. This is a PRN (as-needed) position. There are two levels: CNA 1 and CNA 2. CNA 1 is an entry-level role providing basic direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under close supervision. It focuses on developing foundational skills, safe patient handling, infection prevention, observation, and reporting. CNA 2 independently performs the full range of CNA duties, delivering safe and compassionate care, recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition, and demonstrating proficiency in ADLs, mobility assistance, vital signs, and documentation. PRN employees receive an hourly differential in addition to their hourly rate (10-25%) in lieu of fringe benefits.
Requirements
- Current State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License
- CNA 1: No experience required.
- CNA 2: Three (3) Months of experience and checked off on all competencies.
- Must produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to the start of employment.

Responsibilities

- Build consistency, confidence, and efficiency in routine care delivery (CNA 1).
- Independently perform the full range of CNA duties for assigned patients/residents (CNA 2).
- Deliver safe, compassionate care and reliably recognize and communicate changes in patient/resident condition (CNA 2).
- Demonstrate consistent proficiency in ADLs, mobility assistance, vital signs, and documentation (CNA 2).
- Serve as a dependable member of the care team who supports care planning through accurate observations and effective communication (CNA 2).
Benefits
- Hourly differential between 10% and 25% depending on position level (in lieu of fringe benefits for PRN employees).
