Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC)
About The Position
Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to support medically fragile children in our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) program. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide compassionate, hands-on care that supports each child’s health, safety, and development. This role is ideal for caregivers who are passionate about pediatric care and making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Active, unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum one (1) year of experience caring for infants and toddlers (subject to reference verification)
- Successful completion of all required screenings and clearances
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for medically fragile or pediatric patients
- Experience in a pediatric healthcare, daycare, or PPEC setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Assist with activities of daily living including feeding, hygiene, toileting, positioning, and mobility
- Monitor patient status and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Measure and document vital signs as directed
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment
- Support infection-control and safety protocols
- Assist in transporting and accompanying children to and from the PPEC facility as needed
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Participate in ongoing training, competencies, and in-service education
- Support children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs with compassion and professionalism
